shrouded reverence
sunlight kissing misty fronds
foggy country morn
Swirling fingers of fog caressing aging barns, dew clinging to new leaves and tightly held buds, drops seemingly suspended in mid-air – morning in the country after a soggy rain-filled day.

Very nice post, waiting for the sunshine to come and stay awhile. Loved the pictures and, of course, your poetry. Is that a strawberry you recently planted? Hope all is well with all.
That is the same strawberry I photographed recently that was green and yes, one that we planted. Thanks Joan!
It is foggy here in South Carolina this morning…it gets into the bones. Beautiful photographs….showing the true beauty of a fog filled day. Enjoyed as always. Love you both.
Thanks my dear friend. Hugs to you and David. 🙂
unless i drive through the mountains, i don’t see fog anymore. thank you for reminding me about this in such a beautiful poetic way!
z
My pleasure Z. 🙂
Great photos LuAnn. They are awesome
Thank you Alastair. I need to practice more often than I do.
Why? They are already good
Being my own worst critic, I tend to see where I could improve, particularly when I look at others’ photos. And, you don’t see the many photos that I dump (lol). 🙂
I take a couple of thousand photos a month. Very few make the grade for my photo of the day which just goes to show how crap mine can be
I am betting that even professional photographers experience this.
Yeah, they have to start somewhere I suppose 🙂
Oh I do love this blog and am so pleased I follow you…
Your comment has put a huge smile on my face Bulldog. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your photography. 🙂
Nice to see you out and about with the camera. Hopefully you’ve had some time to relax from all that hard yard work. Love the photos!
I looked outside this morning and saw the fog and out the door I went. I love fog, most particularly when I’m walking along the ocean’s shore. We did take a break from physical labor today (lol). 🙂
Love the photos. Some great macros here. Wish I had your way with words. 😀
Coming from you Gunta, this pleases me very much! 🙂
I am so glad I found your blog. You just take me away with your creative use of words and pictures. Absolutely a beautiful post. No yard work pictures!
Thanks and likewise! We just love reading about your adventures and hope that someday our paths will cross. As for the yard work, I think we both needed a day of rest. 🙂
I love foggy mornings, so atmospheric, great photos and words 🙂
Thanks Claire. I love the fog as well, particularly when walking along the ocean.
Looks just like San Elijo until about 11:00 A M each morning. Looks like a great place for you guys to settle for a bit.
Rog & Gayl
Yep, San Elijo without pelicans in flight, gulls squawking, the pounding of the surf, and that great ocean air. 😉
love the pics and haiku – this was a great post – thanks!
My pleasure LouAnn.
Wow that strawberry looks just sooooooo delicious. Great pictures as always 🙂
Thanks Ute. 🙂
One word…GORGEOUS!
Thanks so much Marsha! 🙂
What a beautiful place to be, LuAnn! Thank you for taking us there.
My pleasure Amy. 🙂
What beauty! I love your photographs. How did you ever get the spider web? I just bought a macro lens for my Nikon 3100. Boy do I need lessons! I do have your blog on my blog roll and look forward to every post!
Gay
Thanks so much Gay. I am still very much a novice when it comes to photography but I truly enjoy it. I am discovering the beauty in the smallest aspects of nature. The spider web was done as a macro and, honestly, I wished I had done a better job capturing it, but a girl has to start somewhere! Have a wonderful day. 🙂
I forgot to add our blog…www.good-times-rollin.blogspot.com
Gay…..again!
Thanks! I am going over to visit right now. 🙂
I love shots of the fog ~ these are wonderful dear LuAnn – and I also like the contrast of the bright sunny shots. Your haiku is just perfect for this post! “sunlight kissing misty fronds” 🙂 ~ Sending lots of love your way ~ x Robyn
Thanks Robyn! Hope you are having a lovely day. 🙂
lovely pics and the last photo was really captivating:)
Thanks Nightlake. BTW, I wrote a short story related to the beach photo you posted for your challenge last week, then changed my mind at the last minute when it came to posting it. Guess I need a little more courage (lol). 🙂
Oh, you could have posted it, LuAnn:) I am sure it was good. There is a topic this week. Would you like to try..
I will take a look.
Beautiful photos! Thanks, Lu
That makes me smile coming from such a gifted photographer. 🙂
A very interesting post blended with your magical words and great photographs. Thank you LuAnn. Ralph xox 😀
My pleasure you sweet man! 🙂
Wonderful description of your foggy, soggy morning, LuAnn. Love that last pic. 🙂
Thanks Sylvia. 🙂
great post, oh that strawberry remind me when I was living in Minnesota in a orchard farm, strawberry were the best!!! nice pictures 🙂
Thanks so much for visiting. I am so glad that Lisa introduced me to your blog. 🙂
This ‘staying put for a while’ lifestyle has touched upon the romantic within, LuAnn…. I loved your poetry and beautifully crafted description that followed… Then a further ‘piece de resistance’ – Images with magical content… Arrrrr, what a lovely post… 😉
Thanks so much Carolyn. 🙂
‘Shrouded reverence’ seems like the perfect description Luann! Love that deserted farmhouse.and the dewy web…..all of them actually! Just beautiful 🙂
Thanks Madhu. 🙂
I just want to sit in the foggy place and soak up the nature (wrapped in a warm blanket, of course). What a magical place! Love the poem. It fits perfectly.
Thanks Angelia. 🙂
Reblogged this on Spiritual challenges .
You are such a wonderful photographer, it’s always a pleasure to see what photos you’ve put up on your blog. Have a lovely day. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and for the comment. Have a great weekend! 🙂
LuAnn, Your photos are stunning! I would be hard pressed to choose a fave – James says strawberry, I say tulip! LOL. It’s hard to beat a country morn! All the best, Terri
Thanks Terri. It was a nice break from shoveling dirt, cleaning out a barn chock-full of old stuff, laying down wood chip paths to snuff out weeds and keep parents’ hands off the weed-killer, etc, etc. 🙂
You are so gifted, my friend! Thanks for capturing the magic in the mundane. Xo
Thanks dear friend! Are you two back in CA yet or still enjoying red rock country? 🙂
Love it. Beautiful photos.
Thanks Janie. 🙂
LuAnn

I certainly understand Marsha. Here is my email address: lu.oburn3@gmail.com. I would love to hear from you.
The fog adds a touch of romance. Great job of capturing that LuAnn.
Thanks Lesley. 🙂
Hi LuAnn, hope all is going well for you, my email is always available (just a reminder dear friend). Your photography is of professional quality! Not only the mechanics but your knack for finding just that right shot! You excel. Also your haiku and written words – gorgeous. I do know you guys are staying busy but I am hopeful you have some time for your creative muse also LuAnn, you are so very gifted! Take care of you, Penny, xo
Thanks so much Penny. We seem to be busy from dawn to dusk right now but keep telling ourselves that it will only be for a few more weeks. I miss blogging but seem to be too tired for much other than the work that needs to be done here. I am also so far behind on reading others’ blogs. Hope this will all change soon. BTW, I loved the Shy Butterfly and will be writing a review soon. Take care.
Your first sepia image is LOVELY LuAnn!!! We miss you on the blog world too♥
We are hoping that in the next few weeks we can get back to a somewhat “normal” life, where we are hiking and I am taking off for photo opportunities. It is apparent to us just how difficult this property is for elderly parents to maintain as we look around at how much needs to be done. There are days when we drag ourselves into the house that we feel this is too much for us (lol).
Thank you for taking us to the countryside. These photos are poetic!
Will visit China next two weeks, see you when I’m back.
I look forward to some fabulous photography. 🙂
For some reason I totally missed this post! Excellent fog shots! They’re not easy to take, but when you get it right they’re just lovely…and you did!
Nina
I didn’t really know what I was doing; I just knew that it was an interesting looking morning, and I’ve got to grab those when I can! 🙂
Lovely words … I like the misty morns 🙂
Shall potter around your blog some more .. have come by way of AD 🙂
Thanks for your kind words and for stopping by. 🙂 I shall visit you as well.
I hate those fog in California 1. I can’t see the sceneries while driving!
VEry nice pics.
Thanks Rommel. I remember very well those foggy CA mornings.
