New Adventure!

We are about to embark on a 6-week adventure!  Our journey begins tomorrow morning in Guadalajara, where we board a bus to Mexico City and join an excursion conducted by Caravan Tours of the ancient and colonial cities of Mexico.  This 8-day tour will take us throughout the ruins of the Mayan and Aztec civilizations and will conclude in Cancun. From there, we will travel on our own into the Central American countries of  Belize and Guatemala.

Check in often as I attempt to document our wanderings and Terry will contribute beautiful photos of our adventures along the way.

Hasta luego!

  • Ohhh! I have been wanting to go on this Caravan tour for 3 years now! They offer us a free trip on any of their tours, and it’s just so painful that we can’t take it :o( Have a wonderful time, I can’t wait to see the pictures!

  • Hi LuAnn–I worked for you for a few months back in 1997 at Home American–during my minor league baseball umpiring offseasons. I came across your profile on LinkedIn and it took me to your website and blog-wow what a trip! My mother in law lives in Merida so we go visit her every year or so and spend several weeks down there. Will you make it there–it is a neat city if you get a chance to check it out. The Yucatecan cuisine is the best in Mexico!

    • Hi David, I do remember you from the HomeAmerican days. We did make it to Merida on our tour so I will be blogging about it in the upcoming days. Since we were on a structured tour at the time, we did not get to spend as much time as we would have liked. It is a beautiful city; one which we will definitely return to when more time allows. Hope all is well with you.

Love to know what you're thinking.
