Zach is a beautiful reminder that today, this very moment, is the perfect time to begin living.
This is a video of a song that’s currently on repeat in our house right now. It’s written and sung by Zach Sobiech, a 17 year old kid who was terminally diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that takes the lives of a large percent of its childhood victims. Given only months to live, Zach wrote this song for his family to say goodbye. We wanted to share this all with you, not only because we love the song and its message, but to show the amazing strength things one person can do to change the world even when they only have months to live. Zach changed us with his song. Zach changed millions of people who watched this as well. Zach gave us a new perspective and taught us that we only have so much time here, so we better get living and loving life now.
To watch…

Sorry, won’t be able to listen to this. We lost our son in law three years ago to osteosarcoma. Still not an easy thing for me.
I certainly understand. This young man was a true inspiration, as I’m sure your son-in-law was as well. Take care Pam.
What a beautiful, moving, uplifting song!!! Thank you for sharing Luann.
My pleasure Madhu.
Thank you, Lu, for sharing this with us. I cried all the way through the video of his last days. What a wonderful story. His family was incredible and you can see from where he got his strength.
He was certainly a remarkable young man and left a great legacy for such a short time on this earth.
Thanks for sharing the smiles and the tears and the reminder….
I had seen this song video before but not the documentary.
thanks, lu
My pleasure David. Hugs to you and Les. 🙂
I just can’t watch the entire video. My heart goes out to Zach and his family. He is a very brave young man…I am a very weak old woman.
I would say you are a very compassionate woman Marsha. I cried through the documentary. He wa a true inspiration and left such a legacy for his family.
What a beautiful way to say goodbye.
What a legacy he left for his family.
I have tears in my eyes…lost a grandchild at birth LuAnn…death still rips me raw.
I cannot fathom losing a child.
Beautiful, Poignant and real life! xx
I realize some folks had a difficult time watching it, due to their personal family experiences, but what I saw was a family with such tremendous courage, a young man with the strength and ability to touch so many, living so far beyond his illness, teaching us all such valuable lessons. He was a gift to humanity, if only for a short time. 🙂
Yes, he was and he still is LuAnn. Life can be ruthlessly hard (I’m familiar with this one) but there are those, like this man who take his love and gift of life (in the short period of time he had) and share with others. Like you to me this is sad, but amazing beautiful and uplifting at the same time! 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you!
My pleasure. 🙂
I’ma facebook share this Lu.
This is wonderful, isn’t it?
