The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart. ~ Elisabeth Foley
Terry and I made a stop in Dallas to look up some friends living in the general vicinity. There were 3 couples I had worked with in Yellowstone that I had hoped to see, but unfortunately, with short notice and other appointments already made, this was not to be. I am optimistic that I may see some of them next summer back in Yellowstone. We were fortunate, however, to have lunch with Jennifer, a young woman whom I had worked with several years ago in the mortgage industry.
Jennifer is a warm, giving woman, intelligent and full of energy. She has a wonderful husband and three adorable children. I feel truly blessed to call her my friend, one of those special friends that you can reconnect with immediately, no matter the distance or time spent apart, even the 6 years since we had last seen each other. Although our visit was short, I am thankful for the time we had together and look forward to seeing her husband Jon and their children when we next meet, hopefully not 6 years from now.
This week is Jennifer’s 40th birthday. We hope it is as special as the woman she is. Happy birthday Jennifer!
